Shasta Lake looking good!
12-31-2019
Jeff Goodwin
Today Captain Anthony Cox and I went to Shasta Lake to sample the bite. We fished the McCloud arm and found a pretty good morning bite. The ranibows are in really good shape in the 51 degree water and stacked up in all the usual winter locations. No real big fish to the net today, but we did play a big fish we hooked but that came off during the side planer detachment. I'll still be playing around on Shasta Lake in the coming weeks, but I need to see some more consistent bites before I run anymore guided trips. Sometimes all it takes is some time on the water to get a good pattern established.
