Fish Report for 12-5-2019
Trinity steelhead fishing improves.
12-5-2019
Jeff Goodwin
We've been waiting for rain and it has finally arrived. It didn't take much rain to pull some new fish into the upper Trinity and our next series of storms will surely bring even more. December is prime time for steelhead fishing on the Trinity and this year is shaping up to be a great month for both fly and spin fishing trips. Captain Justin Thompson is our go-to Trinity River guide and he does a great job getting our clients on the fish. The Trinity hosts good numbers of both wild and hatchery steelhead so theres always a good chance of taking some fresh steelhead fillets home for the dinner table. We still have some open dates for drift boat float fishing trips available with Captain Justin. These steelhead fishing trips are a lot of fun for 2 anglers and the scenery is second to none in our area. The season is relatively short so give Jaynie a call at the office (530) 510-2925 and get your Trinity River steelhead fishing trip reserved soon. Thank you!
Jeff Goodwin is a full time Northern California fishing guide. He guides year round for salmon, trout, steelhead, Kokanee, and bass on Northern California rivers and lakes. He fishes many bodies of water in the Redding area, but also guides the Sacramento River and Feather River during certain times of the year. Jeff can also be found on the California coast chasing ocean fresh King salmon and steelhead each year.
