Fish Report for 12-8-2008
Sportfishing catch from San Quintin
12-8-2008
Jorge A. Rosales-Casian
A total of four boats were fishing out in three days (Dec. 5th-7th), a
very low number despite the good weather conditions: no wind and sunny,
specially on Saturday.
Three boats were searching big pelagic fishes and only one boat for
bottom fish catch.
A number of 13 anglers were on the boats and they caught a total of 82
fishes: 25 yellowtails, 29 bonitos, 15 whitefish, 6 vermilions, 5
browns, and two lingcods.
Temperature reported by boats were 65 degrees nearshore and 68 degrees
at the yellowtail area, 20-25 miles offshore.

I don't found available rooms for my sportfishing monitoring after a
sampling at Colonet Bay (trawl nets). However, now was a good
opportunity to relax, to feel the warm light wind, to hear the birds on
the sea, and smell the lagoon water. On Saturday afternoon, I had time
to enjoy a Seafood Party plate (lobster, shrimps, fish and pismo clams
covered with breaderumbs) at Jardines Baja restaurant during an american
football game, after that we were waiting the De la Hoya-Paquiao fight
with tequila shoots.
I returned to Ensenada on Sunday afternoon after 2:30 hours drive, at
18:30 was dark, cold and began a light rain.
See you later anglergators!!!
