Idyllic

An idyllic day along the lee side enjoying flat calm weather, beautiful scenery, and steady mid morning through early evening scratch fishing. Never hot and heavy the pace was actually more conducive to success as crewmen were able to attend to every battling angler individually until the deal was sealed. Perhaps the best news of all, at the risk of jinxing ourselves on the final day tomorrow, is the lack of predation during this voyage. The local thugs are here, and grab a very occasional fish because they can, but for whatever reason they are content with bi hourly drive-by’s flexing their might while inflicting no damage. It’s been a welcome respite. Their antics when they are in the wrong mood, while breathtakingly real, go way too far.
We roll into the final round ready and rarin’ to go. Another day of flat calm in the forecast and nothing to suggest a major change for the worse in fishing and conditions has us feeling upbeat and optimistic. Photo today features Royal Star angler David Lodge with a dandy, bonus yellowtail landed amidst the mid afternoon tuna action.
If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 224-4764 to get in on the action.
