Fish Report for 9-30-2019

Closing out September salmon on the Sac River,,,

Jeff Goodwin

Well today was the last day of my favorite month to fish for King salmon on the Sacramento River.  Justin and I fished two groups below Balls Ferry and caught several nice King salmon.  We're still seeing a mix of old and new salmon just about every day.  Lots of hens have now arrived and we're replentishing our egg supplies and going through loads of Pautzke Fire Cure, Fire Power, and Fire Dye for next years batch of eggs.  October will be a great month on the Sac with all the fish currently piled up in the Anderson area.  The egg bite is still a top producer, but some salmon are being taken on lures as well.
