No fishing today (Sunday) due to a very vigorous ocean, wind, rain and general chaos...

Yesterday the Rockfish bit well with everyone getting limits if they kept their line in the water. A few Lings were caught but nowhere near limits. Crab were 4-6 per person.

Salmon fishing had varied results. One boat limited, another had one per rod while others had fewer. No boats were skunked but it wasn't a smoking hot bite either.

We didn't have a boat out for Long Leader Saturday so no report for that. Friday we did a Deep Water Ling trip that produced limits of big offshore Rockfish but only a handful of Lings. It was disappointing but it is still quite early for that.

The Tacklebuster had another great Tuna trip Saturday. Conditions were good and they put 101 fish on deck again. All in all it was a pronounced a great trip by all on board.

No Halibut boats out of Dockside this weekend.

ODFW has informed us that the all-depth fishery for Ling Cod and Rockfish will open September 3rd rather than October 1st. This is because our allowable mortality quotas for Yellow Eye Rockfish are in good shape for the year. Because of that Rockfish and Ling Cod may be retained along with Halibut in the all-depth fishery. Unfortunately Ling Cod may not be retained on the Long Leader fishery because of the 10 fish bag limit on the Long Leader.

We also got notice from ODFW that Halibut is going to a two fish per day limit due to the high amount of quota left on the table. Unfortunately we have NO space available until the 27th of September providing there is quota remaining.
