After a slowdown in the action on the bay the fishing rebounded for both striped bass and hal- ibut. Take for instance when 32 anglers aboard the Bass Tub bagged limits of striped bass, 2 halibut, 1 white sea ass and 1 leopard shark for 32 anglers. The California Dawn out of the Berkeley Marina went up the Marin coastline and returned 240 rockfish, 18 ing cod to 14 pounds and 31 halibut to 20 pounds, and two bonus thresher sharks.
The salmon fishing season closed below Pigeon Point on Wednesday, August 28. This covers the Half Moon Bay and Monterey Bay areas.
