Late Fall king salmon make move up Sacramento River

The Late Fall salmon season opened on November 1st with a bang. There was some good rain and wind mixed in but quite a few salmon were around in the Sacramento river for the opener. Don Benson from Aromas, Ca. hooked up with guide Dave Jacobs of professional guide service on the opener and hooked this nice, fresh Late Fall king salmon. Don's hard fighting salmon hit a backbounced sardine wrapped kwikfish on the Sacramento river near Hamilton City, Ca. The 88 pound California state record salmon was caught this time of year and is an angler's best chance at hooking a true Sacramento river trophy salmon. The salmon season will remain open until December 31st.
