Winning

Not the pace of yesterday’s action throttling back to a manageable one or two fish on the line during the “banker’s hour” bite time rather than three, four, or five. That pace of action gave the boys plenty of time to personalize time spent with anglers working on their technique in the face of determined competition. Suffice it to say that everyone on board now possesses a very refined understanding of what it takes to get the job done in these circumstances. We are all in.

Winning was the word of the day. Every victory is relished and celebrated. Between the grade of this fish, the scenery above and below the surface, the fantastic weather provided by the protection of the island in this zone, and this great group of friends sharing time at the rail there is plenty to appreciate. As such we are not entertaining any ideas of upsetting the balance. For now we’ll go with it and see what tomorrow brings.

Photo today features ultra Royal Star veteran, friend, and master angler Mike Nagao with his beautiful 47 pound yellowtail landed amidst the morning yellowfin tuna action. What a pleasant surprise!

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 224-4764 to get in on the action.
