The Pacifica returned this morning from a 1.5 day trip with 79 Yellowfin, 8 Bluefin, 16 Yellowtail, 22 Bonito and 1 Dorado for their 27 anglers!

Full day, Overnight and 1.5 day trips continue to catch a mix of Yellowfin Tuna, Bluefin Tuna, Yellowtail and Dorado on their offshore trips! The majority of the Yellowfin have been in the 12 to 20 pound range with a few bigger models mixed in. The Bluefin that are mixed in with the other fish offshore have been in the 20 to 40 pound range.

Captains continue to recommend 20# and 25# line with matching fluorocarbon and either a size 2 or size 4 hook!

Reservations are required for all these tuna fishing trips, as most trips have been selling out well in advance of the fishing date!

The Pacifica called in from their 1.5 day trip this morning with 47 yellowfin, 5 yellowtail and a handful of bonito for their 27 anglers. Some nice counts from boats that returned this morning The Endeavor returned from their 1.5 day trip with 26 bluefin and 65 yellowfin for their 13 anglers. Offshore Yellowfin 1:30pm - The San Diego just called in with 75+ yellowfin so far for their full day trip offshore! Captain Matt is recommending 20lb line and size 2 hooks. They have the rest of the afternoon to fish before heading home! The Aztec finished up their two day trip with 300 yellowfin, 8 dorado, 3 bluefin and 23 yellowtail.
