Greetings from Lake Cuyamaca: With the stockings from Jess Ranch the bite and catching is ON!!! Action has both bait dunkers and hardware chuckers experiencing multiple hookups with limits common. These trout are outstanding in quality, combined with an attitude for the fight has anglers taking advantage of the great fall weather. The Channel Cats continue to be in the rock structures.

We are now taking reservations for the new RV group camp located in the Over flow area. The area is set up for a total of 8 rigs but has a minimum of 4. The rate is $200.00 a night for all 8 sites. Can be rented by singles if not reserved. !!!! Also added 7 tent sites in the Lone Pine area !!! Call 877-581-9904 for info.

OPEN EVERY DAY 6AM--- SUNSET

Trout Bait: 20-24"inch leader, night crawler smeared with scent fished below a bobber, or Rainbow Power Bait fished off the bottom. (Pautzkes Krill gel or liquid Krill scent)

Best Trout Lures: Orange Rapala, Orange Roster Tail, Gold Panther Martin. Use scent (Krill gel works best)

Best Trout Spots: Lone Pine, Shore line below call box, Kitchen Cove, Trolling entire lake.

Fly Fishing: Some surface action. Try a Matuka or a Wolly Bugger worked slow on the fall.

Nature Walk: The self guided walk is 3 1/2 miles around the lake. The trail is open for daily use.

Free Fishing Class Saturday at 10:AM: Ranger Charlie will teach tried and true Trout tactics, along with Crappie and Catfish.

Prognosis:!! With the stocking last week the trout are providing lots of action. This is the Fall bite you have been waiting for. Dunking bait will produce some fine trout while trolling with Roster Tails, Panther Martins and Rapalas providing great action. Its your choice!! Water temp was 56 deg this a.m. Catfish and Crappie are still looking for your hook. Come up and experience natures fall colors while enjoying a day at the lake fishing, picnicking, or just a day in the great outdoors.

THE DECONTAMINATION WASH DOWN IS NOW OPERATIONAL PRIVATE VESSELS ALLOWED AFTER WASH DOWN! A fee is charged. (boats, motors, float tubs, waders) More details under boat wash down.

Greetings from Lake Cuyamaca: With the Stocking of TROUT last week from Jess Ranch Fish Hatchery 1,700 lbs with some trophies included, and1,600lbs from Mojave D.F.G. there are plenty of trout in the lake available for the anglers. The Kids derby was a great event with 655 kids registering. Everybody had a outstanding time.
