Good Quality of Fishing Showing Up

8-8-2019
Doug Rodricks

Good quality fish showing up here from the lake as the high water levels are making transitional spaces super highways. Lots of fish from the lake have made their way up river to feast on the “clouds of grasshoppers”. They are all over the river and the hatch this year is of record amounts. Windy days can be a dry fly fishing paradise here. Nymphing along the seams and undercuts is producing well too! Stimulator – 12, 14, 16; Crystal Copper Tiger Midge – 16,18; B100FB – 14, 16, 18, 20; Spruce a bu dark and light; Loeberg Mallard Silver; Loeberg Guinea Silver, Crystal Midge Pupa Black – 18; Crystal Chironomid Emerger Copper – 16, 18; Broken Back Copper Tiger Midge – 14,16,18.
