Kokanee limits

The Kokanee bite at New Melones has yet to slow down. We had a pretty solid morning with 13 fish in the box by 8:30. We then got surrounded by 10-15 boats and the bite shut down. After changing location and a few lure adjustments the bite kicked back in and we got our 20th fish just before noon. Fish are between 55 and 65 feet deep, and were caught on apex’s, j- pex’s, and uncle Larry’s spinners behind Paulina Peak and Brad’s dodgers.
Sierra Sportfishing is ready to take you fishing in the Motherload. We proudly run guided fishing trips to our local lakes including: Lake McClure, Don Pedro Reservoir, Lake Camanche, New Hogan Reservoir and New Melones. If you are interested please call Jason Meeuwse at (209) 872-3856 or visit our WEBSITE.
