Starting temperature was much warmer this week and we had a COUPLE days of RAIN. Bring the strongest DEET you can find, these mosquitoes are huge and their drills are relentless..
The stock truck arrived Tuesday afternoon from DFW and again with County Trophy Program later in the day.
BAIT: Crawlers, big or little, rubber or real, inflated or natural, hula skirts or not. They do the job. Micetails bringing in some nice fish over 4lbs, also some marshmallows and salmon eggs also working off and on.
LURES: 1/6 oz. red/gold Buoyant, 1/4oz Blue/Silver, 1/4oz silver; chartreuse/green Rooster Tail, Dark Green Rooster Tail, Taz Devils with bent wings, 'Lil Jake
FLY AND BUBBLE:
FLY RODS: Woolly buggers, black, dark olive, dirty Doc, white, orange; hare's ear, prince nymph, tan bird's nest; elk hair caddis, x-caddis peacock body, black gnat, mosquito, para BWO (blue wing olive)
BACKCOUNTRY:.
NOTE: If the trout bleeds don’t throw it back into the lake, it will die and IT ATTRACKS BEARS. If you care about the resource please be careful when releasing fish back into the water.
