Rusty
Our community park area another great spot. If you are fishing this area its morning or evening after the skiis have left for their barn so to say. There is such a great shore line with a lot of places for the fish to hold up.
Not much from the Big Bend area but in the Rotary Park area we have a visiting angler was able to land a channel cat. JJ Sonnier from Charles, Louisiana was out fishing with grandpa, Bashful Bill, on his boat and landed a 9.12 pound channel catfish at 27.5 inches. A nice surprise as they were using anchovies fishing for stripers. They did get a few stripers but this was a great fish and means our catfish might be on the prowl.
Over on the Nevada side our local angler Greg Magruder is showing off a nice striper at 14.48 pounds and 33.5 inches. He was fishing from shore using anchovies and this shows that you best have a good knot as there are some bigger fish out there. But if you find a few more in the range our angler from the high school fishing club mentored by Gary Regan.
