California's "Northeast Zone" waterfowl hunting opener will take place On October 11, and many local hunters will make the trek to get a jump on the "Balance of the State" season opener which is scheduled for October 18. "People are really getting excited', observed Pat Carpenter at Chico Sportsmen's Den. "A lot of hunters are already getting set up and ready to go."
