Little Truckee Fishing Report

7-5-2019
Mountain Hardware & Sports

While the recent big drop in the flows might temporarily slow fishing while these fish adjust we expect to see much more consistent hatches here with PMD’s coming off mid-morning possibly some green drakes mid-day and caddis being a staple in the evenings. Expect fish to be in the faster water now as water temps rise and flows drop. Euro nymphing will now be a great technique here as they transition into said water and a standard indicator will cause drag or spook fish.

FLOW

75.8 CFS

RECOMMENDED

9-10 Ft. 4-5 Wt. Rod with a 9-12 Ft. 5-6x Leader. Flies: PMD’s, Caddis, Midges, Green Drakes
