It is with gratitude and respect that we mention our next item. After 31 years serving as the flyfishing center for the Santa Cruz area, Ernie and Diane Kinzli are retiring and closing up their shop, Ernie's Casting Pond in Soquel. The Casting Pond grew to be the community center for flyfishing enthusiasts in the greater Bay Area, and the Kinzli's will be sorely missed. Diane says "We have really enjoyed being the flyfishing spot here in Santa Cruz and the people who are our customers have become our friends. We are looking forward to more time fishing and traveling and of course, spending time with our kids and grandkids."
