The weather has been pretty typical for this time of spring. Foggy, cold, and windy in the mornings, clearing to somewhat clear skies and warm temperatures by mid-day.

Anglers have been fishing for striped bass from the shoreline.

The lake temperature out here at Del Valle is reaching 70 degrees as the striped bass become the highlight of the week many of our anglers are limiting out on stripers in the early morning, the stripers are mostly being caught on the topwater action spook jrs. or pencil poppers early in the morning, later in the day you might want to switch to a fluke or a sub-surface jerkbait.
