Hello everyone;
Weather was just perfect today. Clear skies, with 12 knots of breeze most of the day, with all the sunshine you could ask for.
We arrived to Alijos rocks at 06:30 hours, and it didn't take long for the Wahoo to find us. We would pick up 28 Wahoo in the 25 to 40 pound range. With the Wahoo bite slowing down, it was time to see if the Yellowfin were willing to bite. Once the anchor was set, it was game on. We had biting Yellowfin and it was as good as it gets. We had three category's of fish, 25 to 30 pound, 50 to 75 pound, and 90 to 110 pound fish. We think we have 20 fish over the century mark, with the majority of the fish in the 50 pound range. We went through the kite rotation 3 times today, but it was not the only thing that was on fire. We caught Yellowfin on 40, 50, 60 and even 80 pound Izorline today (fly-line Sardines).
Once the smoke cleared, the crew was busy putting line on most of the reels, and cleaning the boat up. Everyone was looking forward to first call for dinner. We will give this another day, then see what else Billy has up his sleeve. So wish us luck and we will keep you posted on our upcoming events. The R/p crew.
