Last Plant:  1,500 lbs of Rainbow Trout Tuesday March 26th. Next

Plant: 1,500 lbs. of Rainbow Trout Friday April 5th.

Water temperature: At surface 59.54° f.,13.80 D.O. @ 15' 60.26° f., 12.33

Water level: Low level, private water craft are currently banned.

The fishing remains brisk with limits coming out of Boat Dock Cove, the east end, and along the southern shore. The final trout plant goes in next Friday April 5th, but with the cool water temps this year the bite should remain active well beyond then. Big fish of the week belonged to Al Waloch of Vista and weighed 9.30#s. Mr. Waloch caught his fish west of senior shoreline on a yellow mouse-tail. David Shauer of Lemon Grove came in a close second with a 9.10# trout caught on Senior Shoreline using an inflated night-crawler.

The bass bite remains sluggish. Largemouth Bass can be found around structure and respond well to crawdads, frog poppers, and dark colored plastics.

The crappie are overdue to make an appearance probably due to the cool temperatures.

On top of this the DFW fish truck rolled up on Tuesday to give us a surprise shot...... Read More
