Newport Landing Sportfishing Weekend Schedule & Catalina Island Yellowtail.

Hi Everyone
Here is the schedule for this weekend/next week for Newport Landing Sportfishing.
The Nautilus has a limited load extended ?? day trip for this Saturday (Sept 6) Limited to only 35 anglers at $95. Currently this trip is full. The Nautilus also has an open party limited load extended ?? day for this Sunday (Sept 7). This trip is also limited to only 35 anglers and the price is $95. Currently this trip has 12 reservations. The Amigo also has an open party limited load extended ?? day trip for this Sunday. Limited to only 25 anglers at $110. Departs at 6am and returns at 6pm. Currently 11 reservations for this trip.
Catalina Island has had good yellowtail fishing with lots of hook ups and more than a few unintentional releases. The yellowtail are large averaging from 20 to 30 pounds and have been challenging to say the least. Bonito, barracuda, calico bass have been rounding out the action. These 6 am to 6 pm trips are the ticket to getting to Catalina first and getting to the most productive areas. Recommend minimum 20 pound test. We will only have an open party am ?? day trip for Sunday on the Patriot departs at 6am returns at noon. We we also have twilight trips for this Friday and Saturday night on the Nautilus departing at 7 pm.
I received a second report today that the Ultra has at least 20 larger yellowfin tuna in the 30 pound plus category on the first day of their 2 day trip. The Amigo has 30 mixed fish so far today with yellowfin tuna, Dorado, and blue fin tuna (as of 2 pm).
The Aggressor has an open party overnight leaving this Sunday (Sept 7) at 10pm fishing Monday (Sept 8). Limited to 18 anglers at $189.
The Amigo also have an open party overnight leaving Sunday (Sept 7) at 10 pm fishing Monday (Sept 8). Limited to 18 anglers at $189.
The Aggressor has an open party overnight leaving Tuesday (Sept 9) at 10 pm fishing Weds (Sept 10). Limited to 18 anglers at $189.
The Amigo has an open party overnight leaving Weds (Sept 10) fishing Thursday (Sept 11). Limited to 18 anglers at $189.

Just a update in case you didn't catch the fish count for today(http://www.newportlanding.com/fishcount.htm) the Patriot had pretty fun fishing again today fishing Catalina Island with 5 large yellowtail to 30 pounds and at least another 8 to 10 yellowtail lost as these big fish are hard to land.
