Sunshine and shiny trout on Shasta Lake!
3-8-2019
Jeff Goodwin
Shasta Lake trout fishing was pretty good today trolling Optimizer spoons and Bay Ray Lures. Trout were up pretty high today and I don't think we caught anything below 15' feet. Water temps are unchanged at 48+ degrees and the water was slightly stained, but very fishable. I concentrated on the main body of the lake and did as well as could be expected for this time of the year. I think we are a bit behind schedule as far as the brown bite is concerned, but we're still catching one or two per trip right now.
