We fished one of our short trips that was mixed into our long range schedule and tried our hand at some local bluefin tuna. The last couple of weeks they have not been sport boat friendly but there was a hint of hope yesterday for our local guys. There were a few times that the spots we stopped on actually came back under the boat where we had a chance to hook them. Although we did not load up we hooked about 20 or twenty five fish and boated a dozen of the 60-85 lb fish. Walter Fujita went one for two on a jig and Conrad Barrera was posterized forever as I am sure we will be seeing his photo in the future as it is priceless.
