Calif. marine training for Field & Stream Total Outdoorsman Challenge finals

Camp Pendleton, California's Jeremy Scott, 21, a U.S. Marine, is one of 16 finalists from across the U.S., and the youngest competitor, who will be competing Sept. 12 ??? 14 in the fifth annual Field & Stream Magazine Total Outdoorsman Challenge in Springfield, Mo.
After 24 local contests across the U.S. followed by six regional competitions, Scott, who is a first time finalist, made the final cut after qualifying at the regional tournament in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., May 3. He will compete in seven events including fly-casting, bait casting, shotgun, rifle, archery, endurance skills and ATV handling.
