Shogun Sportfishing Fish Report

Jan Silverstein started things off on the right foot by landing a couple of nice fat yellowtail early this morning. Once that dried up we started hitting bird schools and put on a quick 60 fish. After that we tried a couple of different spots that yielded more yellowtail. Most were taken on the drift instead of anchor type fishing, again "yo-yo" jigs were the hot ticket, but today the standard blue and white was the heavy hitter. By the time 15:00 rolled around we and the yellows were about done with each other so we headed offshore. Unfortunately we only ended our offshore foray with lonely pair of skip jack. Our weather never did come up as forcast and we still have excellent calm seas.
