This ocean never ceases to amaze us when it comes to just how fast it changes. So far the only consistent thing about this years fishing has been its inconsistency. We traveled further down the coast in order to get some sustained action versus the stop and go activity that is associated with non biting fish. The morning was a disaster as we drove for six hours not seeing a fish and not stopping. We ended up getting extremely lucky finding a couple of kelps that provided non stop action on smaller yellows. That action was just what the doctor ordered as the madness and mayhem was enjoyed by all. Richard McCombs provided the catch of the day with a 73lb opah that was caught on a blue and chrome heavy jig. The guys

6-27-2014Last trip was tough because the fish did not want to bite but add some choppy weather in the mix and today was the end result. When we had to change zones today to get warmer water for example it just took forever because we could only go so fast in the chop.
