Capt Kiyohara brought the boat back this morning from a 1.5 day trip with plenty of yellowtail and 43 bluefin tuna. The weather was great and that was the perfect touch for this group of many newcomers to sportfishing. Regular passenger Skip Newton - pictured here with his lovely wife Meg - brought a dozen family members along to experience and share his passion for ocean fishing for his 65th birthday. The only down side to this great trip is now the bar is set high weather and fishing-wise for those who has never been on the other side of the fence....!
The "Jim Bostian Award" goes out to Bill Randall and Walter Fujita for being the most helpful paying passengers/assist ever - you're both hired.
And congratulations to Josh Zaparolli (also first time on an overnight trip) for catching the jackpot - a 38lb bluefin tuna.

We have a 5 day trip departing Wed Aug 7th that had 2 cancellations
