With everyone aboard having plenty of tuna to share with family and Friends we decided to mix it up and fish for something different. Even though recent reports were of tough fishing we were hoping that conditions have changed on the beach for the better. We started out right after daylight and had a pretty good scratch on good grade 18-23lb yellows which continued all morning and into the early afternoon. Wally Vellekamp,Patrykus Jr.,and Dale Johnson each were fortunate enough to land yellows in the mid to upper 40's. Patrykus Sr. with a 40# pound white seabass and Dave rocha with a 46# halibut were the lucky anglers that caught the big ones of the day. Pictured, is our trips fearless leader Mattt Salas with one of the many fish he caught today on a banana peel colored salas 5x. Feeling Lucky, The Guys
