Today we missed on the tuna, but found a nice area holding lots of different grade yellows.
We ended up catching yellowtail that weighed anywhere from 6-50lbs and Bill Cashman was very happy with his 35lb fish caught on a Salas 6xjr.

8-11-2012Over the years most of us have gone to the ballgame several times. Sometimes we are fortunate enough to get someone's cherished season tickets behind home plate and other times we have sat in the bleachers. We began our morning in the gray looking for a good temperature edge to start on but found no fish. There was a little sign of fish right at daylight... but they disappeared in short order. Our fleet drove around all day with only one good stop to be had for the handful of boats in the zone. We weren't fortunate in the morning, But early afternoon - we found the lucky kelp.
