Well Deserved

After about a week of tough weather, the wind stopped and gave us a break and we were able to take advantage. We found a decent school and were able to drift and pick all afternoon. We ended up with a great catch of mixed yellowfin and bluefin as everyone was giggling to themselves because they were having such a good time.

The boat returned from this 2.5 day charter with 80 nice bluefin and a plentiful catch of yellowtailas well... A huge thanks to Nate Shill and company for making this an annual event on the American Angler, and for the nice swag! We looked at a lot of ocean today and it payed off in the late afternoon when we stumbled into a biting school of bluefin. When we first went into it, they were biting fast as most everyone had one on. After the smoke cleared, we were able to plunk for a while and ended up with a pretty nice catch.
