Today we had very good Yellowtail fishing which gave us about all that we needed and the grade was awesome as shown in the photo of the day featuring Mr. Charlie. The weather has subsided 12 to 14 kts - plenty good enough. We are running out to the Rocks in hopes of catching a few Jackpot fish and then we'll just take it from there.
We still have a few days left to make something happen on the Tuna side of things as we head up the line.

5-28-2012After a very windy first day of looking, today was just what the doctor ordered... calm seas and light winds. We didn't arrive at our destination till after lunch but the afternoon worked out just fine with very steady Yellowtail fishing and gave us a nice jumpstart to our trip. Today was one of those days that just didn't seem like things were going to happen on the offshore scene with the winds up to (and a few gusts over) the 25 knot bar. We are hoping on the back side of the trip, we can try it again with better weather conditions.
