Shasta Lake braces for another storm!

I fished Shasta the last two days and weather conditions have been deteriorating daily.  We've got a wet pattern ahead and as usual, the trout seem to be hunkering down.  Typically we see a dramatic rebound after a few slow days before the big weather change.  We've seen the slow down, now its time to see an upswing in the bite!  We haven't been going without fish, we've just been waiting a while for the bites to come.  The lake is cold and what I consider to be in prime shape for this time of the year.  There are lots of fish down in the main body of the lake with the 48 degree temps, but that means they are spread out over a big piece of water.  We're still catching the trout up high and I'm trolling spoons like the Optimizer and my favorite Bay Rat Long Shallows.  Every day is a new day and I look forward to them all!
