Good morning folks.

Yesterday started off grim, with very little yellowtail on different shallows. Warm water may of had them off the bite. And I mean warm. We fished offshore and were hit with heavy winds that shut us down late afternoon. We never could find a kelp with the tough conditions but got random strikes on nice size dorado and one ripper stop that brought yellowfin from 18 to 25 pounds. It was good while it lasted, boiling right on the corner and showing brown through the stern.

After 45 fish they just disappeared. Thankful for what we got we worked down and continued to get strikes on Dorado and picked up one that must be close to 50 pounds. A real Bull. So far this morning we have had great yellowtail fishing on 12 to 18 pound fish and with the weather better today looking to spend the rest of the afternoon looking for kelps offshore.

We will report again tomorrow

Good morning folks. We just finished of a 1.5 day trip and we are now out on a five day. We are going to spend the day offshore and outside the tracks that have been previously covered. Seems to be a lot of small fish on the inside so we will try out here. Sounds like a good prospect we will soon find out. Andy Cates ...... Read More
