Wohlford Lake 3.9 pound Rainbow

There was a huge turnout for opening day. Trout were being caught just about everywhere. Boat Dock Cove and Senior Shoreline were just two of the hot spots. Francisco Reyes's of 3.90# rainbow is the leader at the time of this report (mid-morning). Mr. Reyes caught his fish using a white power-worm at the West Buoys. Powerbait, powerworms, and inflated night-crawlers have all done well. Greens and yellows are the most popular varieties for the powerbait.

Catfish are being caught throughout the lake. Lake Wohlford cats prefer cut mackerel or chicken liver.
Bass can be found around structure. With the re-introduction of trout to the menu this is an excellent time to dust off those big swim-baits in the hopes of landing a monster.
