Thanks again to all of the crew members, anglers and Carol and Steve for making the entire trip smooth and fun filled. Thanks also to all of our sponsors for the tons of great gifts they gave us for our raffles. Despite the challenging fishing conditions it sure seems everybody had a great time. My stomach still hurts from all the laughter.

I enjoyed meeting all the new faces and getting back together with good friends, and certainly want to fish with all of you again. Remember, boarding pass numbers are issued the day Carol receives a 50% deposit so the earlier you book for 2009 the more preferential a boarding pass number you receive. I will also pass on and work to improve the tackle box allocations, per the several strong comments I received and discussions we had. When you book for next year be sure to tell Carol you want to be on the same Larry Brown Charter. I will keep you posted with schedules and trip details.

Thanks also for your generosity in supporting all of the fun raffles, contests, etc., to generate money for the Marina Del Rey Anglers Youth Fishing Program. All together we raised $805 for the kids. Thanks to Marc Mills at OKUMA for donating the beautiful 2-Speed Titus reel. Thanks also to Mark Liebrecht for bringing the Spider Man and Batman rods and reels and challenging me to the fishing duel, and to Harris for organizing the para-mutual betting scheme, and to Captain Kevin for donating the valuable antique Chinese glass net float we discovered floating in the ocean, all of which resulted in even more money for the kids. For more information about MDRA and their Youth Fishing Program visit or click on www.mdranglers.com and or http://www.mdranglers.com/youthfishing.html. Below you will see the email I sent to the MDRA Board Members about our trip and fund raising efforts.

Due to some on-board personal computer technical difficulties we were unable to burn the photo CDs for everybody. Harris has all of the photos on his laptop and has promised to try to get me a CD or emailed zip file so I can get you the photos or instructions on how to get them from a web site. More on this shortly. Thanks Harris, you da man!!!!!

A couple of you volunteered ideas or suggestions on how the boat may be able to improve operations or how I may be able to improve my charters. While it is fresh in your minds please let me know any suggestions you have. We have a new boat and a new captain and they are receptive to your comments and ideas. I too am always looking for ways to improve my charters. So please send me your ideas and suggestions.

Lastly, the best way to thank our sponsors is to BUY THEIR PRODUCTS, so I am listing all of the generous sponsors who donated product for our trip:
