Eastern Sierra Report

11-13-2018
Doug Busey

Hello Fellow anglers,  As of November 15th, the fishing season has come to a close for many areas. Inyo and Mono County lakes and rivers and most rivers in California.  Check your regulations as some rivers will convert to catch and release with artificial lures or flies for the winter season. Lakes in Alpine county remain open to fishing all year long.  As of the 13th, the roads into the back lakes were still open.  I feel with a hint of weather coming our way next week.  They too will close for the season.  We are just a couple moths away from ice fishing and the Topaz Lake opening day on the 1st of January.  This will give us a brief time to respool and lube up our reels.  I personally do not like the shorter daylight hours, but we can look forward to December 21st.  This will be the the peak of the winter solstice, and we gain one minute of daylight each day forward from there.

Good luck on your next fishing adventure. If you have a question. a report in our local fishing area or have a photo of your catch, send it to nevada@fishreports.com. Hope to see you on the waters. Good fishin' and tight lines.
