Trout season if officially here at Lake Amador!!! We started stocking our Donaldson Rainbows and some Lightning Trout last week with another 500lbs put in today, bringing our total stocked to 1,800lbs thus far! Fishing has been good with may reports of Trout being shallow and lures working great. Keep in mind its still early in the season and the warm weather probably isn't done, so they may go a little deeper. The main body of the lake has been doing great this last week. The Tackle Box Café has reopened for the year so come on down and get an awesome breakfast or lunch! Don't forget to check us out on Facebook for more catches and details!

We are currently 16ft from full, but still on cement for the launch ramp. Surface temp is in the high 80's. Bass, Catfish, and Bluegill are all doing well and loving the warmer waters. We have our annual Moonlighter Team Bass Tournament this Saturday with results to follow. The Tackle Box Café is now open until 8pm on Saturdays through the Summer. The water is warm and with many catfish starting to show up we decided to stock a 5,000lb load of Catfish last week on 5/30/18!! Most of the catfish stocked are in the 2-4lb range, with many in the 5lb range and even bigger. Chicken Liver, Anchovies, and Night Crawlers are all doing well to bring them in.
