10/15/18 - It is that time on the Klamath river when you have many fishing method options. 

The river is full of spawning Salmon, which you can still keep, as long as they are under 22 inches. Mixed in with those Salmon are feisty Steelhead, hungry and fixated on salmon eggs. Salmon in the to 20 pound class as well as Steelhead in the 1 to 10 pound class are all available. Adult Salmon have to be released until the Irongate Hatchery gets 8800 fish. Then keeping will open back up above I-5. You can also keep two adipose clipped Steelhead in the Klamath river, but they have been pretty hard to come by as most fish are unclipped and have to be released, but the option is there. With all that said the fishing is dam fun and at times totally off the hook. Lot of food in the water makes for lots of biting fish, allowing for any method of fishing you enjoy.

Those fishing method options can range from bait fishing to fly fishing and all the hardware in between. It is one of my favorite times on the Klamath river. I have always loved having options when it comes to fishing. I enjoy bringing all my weapons to the party, and using them to lure any fish willing to bite.
