A little here and a little there throughout the day added up to a fine score in the end. Between excellent conditions, a beautiful grade of fish, and consistent opportunities regardless of location all anglers benefitted large from the magic of this island. Genuine long range fishing; the perfect description in every respect. I’ll spare everyone the drivel today keeping it succinct and sweet.

Long time Royal Star master angler Mike Krieger can attest to the prevailing sense of success following today’s action. Though not the greatest photo this 130# class yellowfin is worth showcasing for it’s size alone. The size of the accomplishment must be recognized also. Mike pulled off this angling feat using Blackwater 35# fluorocarbon leader. I’d love to cast this triumph as a one in a thousand, or something of that sort, but amazingly enough I’ve seen at least a few handfuls of like results with the Blackwater 35# this year alone. This is exactly why we throw our entire weight behind the Blackwater products. They are second to none. The angling side of the equation was all Mike though. This is a heck of an accomplishment.
