Shogun Sportfishing Fish Report

8-4-2008
Bruce A. Smith

Sunny skies, calm seas, and biting fish, A great day of offshore fishing today aboard the Shogun! We found dorado and yellowtail on the kelps, and tuna associated with dolphins. There were a few long stretches without any action, but we had a banner stop on the mother lode kelp this afternoon. Dozens of smaller yellowtail and dorado were released, and the nicer sized fish made their way to our RSW fish hold. It was a sight not soon forgotten, with so many fish swarming the stern, yellows and the dorados swimming back and forth for almost an hour.

Capt Bruce has us headed for the Cedros Benitos area, arriving early tomorrow morning. This trip quickly taken shape, we can only hope to keep up the momentum.
