Fish Report for 10-1-2018

6 and 20 Fish Per Half Day.

10-1-2018
Jim Reid

We had a very good week on the pond this week, lots of good action on fish up to almost 23 inches.  The hot ticket fly this week was actually a black ant pattern, fished either by itself or drowned underneath a hopper or other dry.  There were also some fish caught on leech patterns as well as some small midge patterns under a hopper.  A lot of the action was sight fishing to rising and/or cruising fish near the surface.  The weeds haven’t been an issue at all for our clients out there and I would expect this to be the case for the remainder of the season.  Most of the anglers on the pond this week reported anwhere between 6 and 20 fish per half day.
