PT. Pinole Pier Fishing Report

GENERAL CONDITIONS

Fishing has been slow with only a few fish per week. Weather has been windy and temperatures have been cool, in the high-60s and low-70s.

Reminder to boaters: Please check conditions before launching your boat as conditions can change quickly this time of year.

Pier retrofit is complete, with all new benches, windscreens and cleaning station.

STRIPED BASS

We have a few striped bass reported above 24 inches; most of them have been undersized.

OTHER SPECIES

There have been several bat rays, a few leopard sharks, some jack smelt, and a few halibuts caught on the pier!

GENERAL CONDITIONS Reservoir has been lowered for Phase 2 of the Contra Loma Boat Launch Facility Improvement. Trailer boats are unable to launch. Other boats will need to be carried to the water and launched from the shore. Reminder to boaters: All watercrafts (including float tubes) need to have a wearable Coast Guard approved personal floatation device (PFD) per person.
