After a couple of slow trips at San Clemente, we nailed the timing and had a fantastic trip for Mark Leal’s and Robert Yampolsky’s 1.5 day charter.

We started the trip with a Grey bite on the flat falls where we picked up 11 bluefin from 50-170#.  By the afternoon the kite was starting to produce and we picked up 4 cows.

We capped the trip off with a couple of wide open night bites with fish from 40 to 200#.

When they finally quit at 10 pm we had 35 bluefin, or one shy of limits for our 18 anglers.  It was an awesome day with excellent action, exciting fosters, kite bites and solid quality fish.  Seven of our fish made the 200# mark.

We have added a couple 2.75 day trips in October to take advantage of this fantastic bluefin Tuna resource that seems to camped out in our back yard.
