Every once in a while, everything comes together to make for a perfect fishing experience. That is what we had yesterday. The weather was gorgeous, the water was clean, the perfect temperture, and the absolute best current in both speed and direction. The fish responded to these ideal conditions and what took place was something that everyone on board will not soon forget. We were fishing yellowtail, everything was 18 to 30+ pounds, and it was all on the surface. Flylined sardines, flylined mackeral on 30 and 40 pound test worked almost every cast. The guys fishing the surface iron were litterally sight casting on fish that were up pushing just under the surface of the water and getting bit almost every time. So much fun! We couldn't have asked for a better day. We were blessed with an incredible experience that doesn't come around all that often. Life is good.
