Slow start

A bit of a slow start for the boys down below following a day and a half of scouring the ocean surface while heading south. They arrived at their first famed destination to find zero current; not good fishing conditions. But time is still on their side. Day one is all it was. Aside from a less than perfect template they still managed to land 50 some odd beautiful grade yellowtail.
Biggest news of the day came from the local grounds that are still completely overrun with Bluefin Tuna in every size class from 30 - 200 pounds. A few of the boats in the zone put together nice scores that reflect exactly what we speculated on two days prior. There will be up and down days. Overall I don’t feel that these bluefin are going anywhere any time soon. It’s all about the opportunity. And the opportunity is incredible from now until as far as the eye can see. Back to the upcoming three day July 8th - 11th rest assured that trip is perfectly poised to make good on this unbelievable amount of bluefin currently offshore. There is still plenty of availability for any and all to sign on.
The onboard wifi has been spotty over the past two days but we’ll keep the info flowing via relay if Capt Toussaint can’t push it in direct from the bridge. Enjoy another insane image courtesy of spotter pilot Tom Green flying a SAC sponsored mission a couple of days ago. This mouth water photo is now common on the offshore bluefin grounds. Incredible.
