Hi Everyone
.
Here is Newport Landing Sportfishing's schedule for the remainder of this week & weekend (Friday July 11-Weds July 16).
The Amigo has open party overnight trips fishing Monday (July 14) & Tuesday (July 15). Limited to only 18 anglers at $170. They will be fishing for yellowtail and White Sea bass more than likely at San Clemente Island. The Amigo is on a 2 day charter fishing their first day today, and has 4 White Sea bass on the boat and is looking at lots of yellowtail. The Amigo also has an open party overnight fishing Thursday (July 17). Limited to 18 anglers at $170. All trips on the Amigo depart at 9pm.
The Aggressor has an open party overnight trip fishing Monday (July 14). Limited to 20 anglers at $150. They will be targeting yellowtail and White Sea bass. Departs Sunday night and 10 pm. The Aggressor also has a Friday open party overnight leaving Thursday (July 17) at 10 pm. Limited to 20 anglers at $150. This will more than likely be an island trip targeting yellowtail and White Sea bass. The Ultra has a rare weekend open party overnight fishing this Sunday (July 13). Limited to 9 anglers at $250. The Ultra also has an open party overnight fishing Thursday (July 10). Limited to 9 anglers at $240.
Our open party ?? day schedule for Friday (July 11) is on the Patriot. For Saturday and we do not have any open party ?? day trips. The Patriot will resume open party ?? day trips on Monday (July 14) and continue all next week. The Patriot has been fishing Catalina Island in search of yellowtail the last 2 days with pretty good fishing with lots of calico bass, bonito, and some barracuda. The water is warm around 68 to 70 degrees. They have been seeing lots of yellowtail and hooking a couple so it's looking promising. More than likely they will continue fishing Catalina Island.
The Nautilus will be running an open party limited load extended ?? day for Sunday (July 13). This trip is limited to 40 anglers at $90. Departs at 6am returns at 6pm. They will be fishing Catalina Island targeting calico bass, bonito, barracuda, and yellowtail. Should be a fun weekend trip. Still about 19 spots open.
The Nautilus has a morning ?? day trip for tomorrow (Friday July 11). For Saturday the Nautilus will only have an open party twilight fishing trip. For Sunday the Patriot has an open party afternoon ?? day trip departing at 12:30 pm. The Nautilus will resume with open party morning and afternoon ?? day trips all of next week. Fishing on the ?? day trips has been excellent for calico bass with limits or near limits over the last day or two. The water warmed to 68 degrees and is a clear blue. Sounds like the sand bass are biting well today and we will have final counts later this afternoon. Twilight trips have been doing well as well on both calico bass and sand bass (and there have been very few anglers for these open party twilight trips).
With the monsoon flow the weather should be perfect for the entire weekend.
