Special Guests on the Endeavor Catching Alaska's State Fish

Herb Tennell
It was an honor to hang out with Rocktop Partners and get them the fish they deserve! Everyone caught their limit and were even more stoked to bring their fish home for friends and family.
Not surprisingly, the King Salmon was designated as Alaska's state fish in 1962. When spawning, female salmon deposit from 3,000 to 14,000 eggs in several gravel nests. Spawning season generally occurs in the late summer and early fall months, which is a great time to catch grizzly bears feeding on the jumping fish along the river. The fat from these salmon will sustain bears during their winter hibernation.
