Big Hungry
Yesterday’s full day trip aboard the Mission Belle had limits of Vermillion Rockfish, 55 assorted Rockfish, 3 Calico Bass, 2 Sculpin and 3 Whitefish at the Coronado Islands. Capt. Steve metered a few different schools of Yellowtail but they were reluctant to bite. Water conditions are improving every day, so those fish could go off at any time.
Departing this Friday
The EL CAPITAN departs at 9:30pm for a 1.5 day trip. This is a limited load trip taking 18 passengers max. Ticket price is $415.00 and includes your meals and bunk. Fishing permits will be additional. This trip is a DEFINITE GO!!
The DOMINATOR departs at 8:00pm for a 1.5 day trip. Ticket price is $325.00 and includes your Mexican fishing permits and bunk.
The JOSIE LYNN has three open spots for an overnight trip. This is an ultra limited load trip taking 6 passengers max. Ticket price is $500.00 and includes food and Mexican fishing permits. Departure time is 9:00pm. This trip is a DEFINITE GO!!
Upcoming ½ day & Full Day Trips
The month May is “Kids Fish Free” with one full paid adult fare! The Daily Double is scheduled daily at 8:30 am for 1/2 day trips to the local kelp beds and other hot spots. Saturdays they run 2 trips with the second trip leaving at 3:00pm and returning at 8:30pm. Ticket price is $50 for adults, $40 for seniors or active duty military and $35 for juniors 15 and under. California fishing license and equipment rentals are extra.
The Mission Belle is scheduled daily for their full day trip at 6:00 am fishing at the Coronado Islands in Mexico. This trip will be targeting Yellowtail, Bonito, Bass and Rockfish. Ticket price includes your Mexican fishing license and tourist visa. A valid passport or passport card is required for all passengers going on this trip.
The Point Loma will be offering “local” ¾ day trips starting in June. Ticket prices are $85.00 for adults and $75.00 for juniors, seniors and active duty military. This trip will be fishing the local kelp beds and other hot spots in California. Departure time is 6:30am with a return time around 4:30pm. A California fishing license will be additional. No passport required for this trip.

5-23-2018The last trip aboard the Daily Double returned with 8 Calico Bass, 1 Halibut, 13 Rockfish, 2 Whitefish and 1 Sculpin for 17 passengers. They also released another 50 Calico Bass during the trip. The Mission Belle just called in limits of Red Rockfish for 13 anglers on a Full Day private charter. They are now looking for surface species to add to their bags. The water temp is warmer today than it has been, and it seems like the weather conditions are improving.
