Trout were hitting jigs, lures and night crawlers on both lakes with anglers using 3 to 4 feet leaders to catch limits. Best bite is before 11am. Hot spots included the western shore near the pump house, the grassy point and the eastern logged shore of lake 3 as well as the eastern and northern shores of lake 2. Bass bite is good with anglers using lures and senkos to catch fish up to 3 pounds. Hot spots for bass include the eastern shore near the wall of lake 2 and the western shore of lake 3 from the bridge to the pump house. Bluegill are hitting meal worms and jigs with good size ( near or over 1 pound). Hot spots for bluegill include the western shore near the pump house and the western shore of lake 2.

Catches of the Week: Rancho Cucamonga angler, Fred Winterswyk, limited with his 5 lbs 11 ozs rainbow using a LipRipperz on the northeastern shore of lake 2. Sean Smith of Victorville reeled in a 3 lbs ruby red near the inlets of lake 2. Scott Patterson of Woodland Hills caught his 4 lbs 3 ozs trout on a trout magnet on the eastern logged shore of lake 3. Chris Lemley of Riverside used a gold panther martin to catch his 3 lbs 12 ozs rainbow while fishing near the pump house of lake 3.

Most of the anglers who beat the heat got out on the lakes early and caught limits. Best bite is before 10am and after 1pm. Power bait ( especially orange, sherbet, salmon peach and rainbow), night crawlers, jigs and lures all produced limits. Hot spots for trout include the eastern logged shore and grassy point of lake 3 as well as the eastern and northern shores of lake 2.
